Elton Dan and the Rocket Band Perform Tribute Concert at Discovery Park of America

UNION CITY, Tenn. – Elton John fans will want to attend the first summer concert hosted 5:30 p.m. May 5 on the Great Lawn at Discovery Park of America.

Elton Dan and the Rocket Band will play Elton John’s greatest hits with incredible energy, authentic costumes, a high level performance, and a nine-piece band and professional musicians. They are the world’s premier tribute to the music of Sir Elton John. Elton Dan brings a red baby grand piano, stage props and more to each performance.

The gates will open with door prizes, food trucks, yard games, door prizes and beer and wine gardens. Tickets are $10, and children 12 and under get in free. The Children’s Discovery Garden play area will be open throughout the evening. In recognition of Cinco de Mayo, tacos and margaritas will top the list of food and beverage items available. Guests are invited to bring bag chairs and blankets, but outside food and beverages are prohibited.

To get it all started, Gypsies, Doves and Dreams will take the stage at 7 p.m. performing a heartfelt tribute to the lyrical genius of Stevie Nicks. From her hits with Fleetwood Mac to her soaring solo career, Kim Osborne strives to portray the undisputed artist. This set includes some of Stevie Nicks’ greatest hits including “Sara,” “Rhiannon,” “Edge of Seventeen” and many more. You’ll enjoy the lifelike replications of Stevie’s wardrobe accompanied by a great band and a lot of energy.

The Elton Dan concert is sponsored by Kizer Pharmacy, Little Caesar Pizza and Simmons Bank in Union City.
